“Success is neither magical nor mysterious. Success is the natural consequence of consistently applying basic fundamentals.” ― Jim Rohn
I ran into someone I hadn’t seen in a while yesterday and he kindly commented that I looked in good shape and had obviously been keeping up with my training.
Ironically just that day I had been a bit down on myself due to my on again off again training this year due to various life events.
His comment made me rethink my attitude toward the year. Whilst I may not have been able to follow each program I started right to the end. Nor have I been able to get 4 or 5 session of training per week each week every week. I have been able to consistently get some type of training in. I’ve kept in touch and I have done the best I can given the circumstances.
So here’s the message. You don’t have to be perfect, just be consistent. If you can do that you’ve got the battle won. Life going to throw all types of things your way. You have to learn to adapt and accept sometimes you’re going to be more on track than others. So long as you are always applying the basic principles of success you’ll be able to ride out the bad times and you’ll be able to take full advantage of the good times.
